Traffic Impacts:

  • Night lane closures on westbound U.S. 26 (between I-405 and the Vista Ridge Tunnel) beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.
  • Daytime shoulder closures in both directions on SW 185th, Cornelius Pass Road, Murray Boulvard, andScholls Feery Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday.
  • Day and night shoulder closures and periodic lane closureson SW Murray Boulevard (between U.S. 26 and Scholls Ferry Road) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday.
  • Periodic nighttime closures on the multi-use path along the south side of U.S. 26. (between SW 79th Avenue and SW Katherine Lane) with detours. Path users should expect a section of path reduced to 6 feet.

East/West Regional Connections Project

The Oregon Department of Transportation and Washington County (in a partnership project) is now beginning construction of the next phase of ODOT RealTime, a system that provides real-time traffic information on roads to help travelers get where they're going more safely and efficiently. The latest project will implement ODOT RealTime between Washington County, central Portland and the Portland Airport.

This expanded system will improve road safety and help drivers make better informed decisions about their travel routes.

Traffic Impacts:

Periodic nighttime lane closures on U.S. 26 and daytime lane closures on SW 185th in both directions. Crews will have periodic nighttime lane closures in both directions on U.S. 26 (between OR 217 and the tunnel), as well as daytime lane closures on SW 185th (between U.S. 26 and OR 8) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Short-term impacts to the multi-use path along the south side of U.S. 26. between SW 79th Avenue and SW Katherine Lane. Path users should expect a section of path reduced to 3 feet, as well as periodic nighttime closures of the path beginning at 8 p.m. and reopening by 5:30 a.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. on Sundays. A signed detour will direct path users through the West Slope neighborhood during the nighttime closures.

There will be short-term impacts to the multi-use path along the south side of U.S. 26. between SW 79th Avenue and SW Katherine Lane. Path users should expect a section of path reduced to 3 feet, as well as periodic nighttime closures of the path beginning at 8 p.m. and reopening by 5:30 a.m. weekdays, 8 a.m. on Saturdays and 9 a.m. on Sundays. Construction Update (11/23/2016)

Bike Impacts:

Month-long work project will require intermittent nighttime closures of U.S. 26 multi-use path, beginning December 7.

A section of the U.S. 26 multi-use path will be closed intermittently at night beginning December 7, over a timeframe of approximately one month. Signs indicating the detour route (see map) will be installed on the path. On nights when work takes place, the path will close at 8:00 pm, and will reopen by 5:30 am on weekdays, 8:00 am Saturdays, and 9:00 am Sundays. The path will remain open during daytime hours, but will be narrowed to 3 feet minimum width to accommodate the work zone.

Periodic night lane closures on U.S. 26 in both directions (between OR 217 and the Vista Ridge Tunnel) from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday through Wednesday. Shoulder closures in place for the same segment 24-hours a day.
